Mattie’s is named after Martha “Mattie” Faulk – the matriarch of the family whose 1895 farmhouse became the heart of Green Pastures. Reimagined and reopened in 2017 after a full restoration,
it is now one of Austin’s most celebrated restaurants: a place where nourishing, farm-fresh, seasonally driven cuisine meets a setting that simply cannot be replicated anywhere else in the city.
For over 75 years, people have gathered at Green Pastures
